- Dear Leather Magic:
I just wanted to send you a note and tell you how great your product
is. I spent years looking for some kind of product that would repair
marks on my leather couches. My dog, overtime made some scratches
in the seats of my leather couches. I contacted every furniture store
I could think of asking if there was any product out there that would
fix these marks. No one could recommend anything other than having
the leather seat cushions replaced. I called for some estimates and
received quotes that were upwards of $1100 for both my couch
and loveseat. About to give up I decided to search online to see if
I could find anything. I came across your site, and it seemed as
if it was too good to be true. Reluctantly I decided to purchase
your leather recoloring kit, figuring it was my last shot in fixing
my couches. The kit came and I followed the instructions. A couple hours
later, my couches were restored to their original shape. They look GREAT!!!!
I can't thank you enough for developing a product that works so well.
This product should be used and recommended by every furniture store.

Lastly, thank you for so clearly stating in your instructions to use
thin coats of the coloring. That is what I did and it definitely worked

Dear Leather Magic:
When I saw a beloved leather jacket that I already owned in beige
go on half-price sale, I decided to buy a second beige jacket and
get it dyed black. That seemed straight forward enough. When I talked
to several professionals in New York where I live, each warned me
not to try to change the color: that it would change the character
of the leather, that I would be "painting" the color on
and it would stiffen and crack. In short, no one was willing to dye
it professionally for me. I had already bought the second beige jacket,
so I went online and found Leather Magic. I left a message asking
for further information and a representative called me back. She suggested
I go online and look at testimonials from satisfied customers. After
reading some glowing reviews, I decided to order your Leather Recoloring
Kit, telling myself that I didn't have to go through with it if I
changed my mind. Once I received the kit, I talked to a very helpful
technical person on your staff who gave me the confidence to try it.
The long and short of it is that I dyed my beige leather jacket black.
The only mistake I made was dying the unlined inside of the jacket.
I should have masked off the lapels and left the sueded skin natural
as I did the insides of the sleeves. It took quite a few applications
of a good leather conditioner to get the body of the leather jacket
soft and supple again. But now it looks and feels great. The result
is a really beautiful black jacket.

This stuff really works!
I own a Leather sectional and the bottom part of the cushion are vinyl.
Those areas were cracking and some of the cracks were up a nickel in
width and 1"1/2" in length! I have to say I was skeptical
if your product lived up to it's claim. And it more than surpassed it!
The color matched the swatch I sent in perfectly! It now looks brand
new!

a habit of keeping a uncapped pen in his front pocket. My new loveseat
had a cluster of pen marking the size of three inch circle. I looked

are completely removed without altering the color of the tan leather.

My son had spilled alchol based hand cleaner on my new Acura MDX seats
and I didn't clean it up right away. It etched through the leather color
finish the size of a half dollar or so. It made it darker in color.
Needless to say I was not happy. I found your product searching
around on Google. Tried it out and it is amazing stuff. I tried
to touch up the spot and that didn't work, but then did a whole section
outlined by the stitches and you can't even tell now that it was damaged.

- My parents gave us saddle brown buffalo hide leather couch and loveseat
that they paid over $3,000 for (they won't tell me the real price).
I really hated the medium poop brown color but they were such good quality
I could not turn them down. I started searching online when I came across
your company. I softened my parents up and assured them I would not
ruin the couches even though I had NEVER dyed a leather couch or anything
like it. I took the plunge and bought the leather dye in soft black.

My 3 kids had gone off to college and thinking I was finally safe to
own grown-up furniture, I bought a 3 piece cream leather grouping. (On
installments of course, have you paid college tuition lately?)
Within one month, my cat shredded the corners of the love seat. I debated
having her stuffed, but the family convinced me to let her live in the
garage. When I called for repair/replacement information from the furniture
store, I was told it would cost $350.00 a panel to repair. I needed
two panels. And a valium. And a drink. I found your company on the web,
and figured for the price, what did I have to lose? The couch was already
wrecked, I couldn’t do too much more harm, and I still have 3
years of payments to make…I followed the directions and repaired
the damaged section, but discovered I had ordered the wrong color. When

I purchased several months ago and finally got around to using a few
days before my annual Super Bowl party. The 10 yr-old leather
sectional had faded and was showing wear and tear from dog and cat scratches

I applied four coats of colour cote - although the finish looks fine,
is this enough coats? I am extremely pleased with the results but sorry

the before and after photographs would have been ideal for your website
as the transformation is far greater than the photographs currently
displayed in your gallery.

- I purchased a 97 cadillac from a Dr's estate. It that had just a
few thousand miles on it. However, the old Dr. urinated in the front
seat and stained it badly. To replace the cover is $565.00. To sew in
a new seat pad is $258. Tried your dye kit. Cost: $39.95 (thereabouts)
Labor: about 15 minutes. Cleaned as instructed put on 3 coats with applicator.
No spraying needed. Results: Unbelievable. You simply cannot tell it
had been stained.

leather seats for my 1990 Eagle Talon for a while, but finding them
in good condition seemed impossible (12 years old, remember). I decided
to pick up a set that was in "reasonable" condition, and try to recondition

- In April 2001 I ordered a repair kit from you. I let it sit in a closet
for a year before deciding to use it. This week in April of 2002 I finally
got up enough nerve to tackle the job.Ê I completely did over the interior
in my 1988 BMW 735i, I was amazed, it looks like new. I would caution
any users not to let their kit sit for a year, the dye tends to coagulate
in the bottom of the container and inhibit spraying. All in all it has
been a nice experience.

- I sent for a repair kit and a recoloring kit to use on an old off-white
sofa. The sofa was in good condition except that one of the cushions
had developed some cracks that allowed the dark natural leather color
to show through. The repair was pretty easy to do and the "custom"
color spray finish was perfect. I refinished all 3 of the cushions to
be sure they matched each other as well as to freshen them up. I used
a Q-tip to be sure to get the color finish into the "wrinkles"
that form as some leather furniture ages and then did the spray ...
it looks great. I just finished it today and we will wait the 48 hours
that you suggest before adding the conditioner, but as it sits now,
it is beautiful. We are hoping for extra service from this sofa that
has been a friend of our house, thanks for giving it a new lease on
life.

- I am selling some rebuilt ABS brake systems, and ended up on the Buick
Reatta chat board. When browsing some messages there, I noticed someone
had posted about needing steering wheel repairs. I used the opportunity
to give your company some free advertising, explaining how well your
products worked. So when/if Buick Reatta orders start flowing in, you
will know why. I have three Allante' steering wheels to do myself, I
am working on replacing some solid armrests with cupholder armrests,
and will use Leather Magic to recolor the new ones. I have recolored
two headliners for Allante' hardtops, one center console, plus peformed
a lot of seat repairs. I really like your products, and am glad to spread

- Thanks so much for the kit. I was a little nervous as to how it would
work on re-doing the Leather interior on my Lexus, but it is almost
unnoticeable that anything has been done, except that the scratch marks
that were previously visible are total recolored and virtually unnoticeable!!
If it holds up over time, this is an awesome product. The color was
extremely close to original, so you obviously take care in the color
matching and pride in this product.

- My off-white sectional sofa had two scratches which had torn the surface
of the leather, leaving small, but unsightly blemishes. I frankly didn't
think the Leather Magic kit would do the job, but I thought I would
give it a try. I followed the directions and (Big Surprise!) produced
a perfect color match, and for all practical purposes, an invisible
job. Even more surprising, six months later the repair is as good as
the day I did it! My wife is still amazed! One word of warning....The
kit gives you the materials to do the job, but it can't do it for you.
But, if you are willing to be patient and take your time, amazing results
are possible.
